MY IMPRESSION

I have personally never had a good experience with a Tecno smartphone before, the only Tecno smartphone i ever used was the Tecno F7 which gave me nightmares but that was years ago and Tecno has grown over the years and done incredibly well with the phantom series. The Tecno Phantom 8 is a 5.7 inch display unit which is very much like most flagships in 2017,it’s diamond style design comes with a 3D Lighting, unibody metal edge and a 2.5 D Drip Screen-curved battery cover. It also possesses a 6 GB RAM plus 2.6 GHz CPU ultra-fast experience that supports 4G+ and download speed up to 300Mbps.
TECNO Mobile’s Phantom 8 comes with a front facing camera at 20 megapixels alongside a smart dual selfie flash with double front ring flash ensures taking photos even in a low light environment.

The edges on the phantom 8 are smooth and this makes it comfortable to carry it around. The back cover looks like metal but really is poly-carbonate;the advantage of having such a material used on the Phantom 8 is that it is light and the phone feels lighter than most other devices its size. The phone is a bit slippery so a free cover provided to improve grip and also a back cover protector that also protects the your phone from scratches.Since this is a dual camera phone, you get a better portrait mode that blurs the background as it focuses on the main subject. Tecno refers to this feature as “refocusing”,The Tecno Phantom 8 supports USB Type-c and it is located at the bottom of the phone next to the speaker grill and microphone. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack that is at the top. On the right hand side you get the volume and power button, the hybrid SIM and microSD card tray is on the right. This is a hybrid tray that means that you can only use one SIM and a MicroSD card or two SIM cards with no MicroSD card. The fingerprint sensor, which was available on the back of the Phantom 8 is very responsive and quick, the speakers are loud and balanced. The phantom 8 comes with HiOS 3.0.0 with runs on top of Android 7.0. It is a heavy skin with so many extra apps, some of them useful nonetheless. There a couple gestures to make day to day use a pleasure, including a swipe down to call the notification shade. Other features a left panel that populates you feed with news and most used apps for quick access. So far so good i have not experienced any glitch using the phone powered by a 2.6GHz MediaTek Helio P25 processor (octa-core) paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space nothing could ever go wrong with it right ?
I  am already loving the speed with which apps are launched and running and will give a comprehensive review of it in few days.
