TECNO launched the spark series last year and within two weeks of its launch it has sold 10,000 pieces already. The company said the TECNO Spark (K7) and TECNO Spark Plus (K9) was one of their best selling device in Ghana by the end of 2017.

The Spark offered decent specifications at a friendlier price without compromising on design, that was the whole philosophy and it seems majority of Ghanaians  bought into it.

After a successful campaign for the first spark series the company is now gearing up to launch their next Spark, obviously named Spark 2. Little is known of the device, however, speculation points to two variants just like we saw with the predecessors. We also have reason to believe that the Spark 2 will feature face unlock and a 6-inch 18:9 aspect ratio display, which have become the latest features to take the mobile market by storm.

The new Spark is also said to feature Android 8.1 Oreo and Android Oreo (Go Edition). The Face Unlock feature will be made possible thanks to an 8MP selfie camera on the front of the device that will feature a dual-flash setup and the inclusion of software-induced portrait mode. No worries, leaked images of the Spark 2 show that there is a fingerprint reader on the back, just in case you are not a fan of facial unlock.

The Processor power department is also said to be amazing as the Spark 2 is said to run on the latest Android 8.1 which will enable the new SPARK 2 deliver a fluid multi-tasking experience better than any regular smartphone. With that amazing processor, users will be able to launch their favourite apps and watch movies at the same time- and the device will not experience any hick-up. I am sure many users can’t wait to have this yet to be released smartphone monster in their hands. And, we also hear that the price tag that will come with the device will be unbelievable. However, all we can do now is wait and see, what the Africa’s Mobile king have in store for us.

The Spark 2 is scheduled to be in Ghana today and going by the pricing of the predecessors, we don’t expect to see a huge price tag .
